Physical therapist told her to move hourly or pay for it later. Now she reviews walking pads and standing-desk gear from a home office she rebuilt around movement.

Nina, based in Austin, Texas, has been testing walking pads & under-desk treadmills for years. Every review on this site comes from hands-on time with the actual product — not spec sheets.

• If a pad can't hit 2 mph at a reasonable noise level, it's a very expensive footrest.
• The remote control is the most important feature nobody tests. I use mine 40 times a day.
• Under-desk treadmills are not treadmills. Comparing them to gym equipment is how people get hurt.
